CathRx is an Australian-based medical device company principally involved in the development and manufacture of innovative, low cost, high quality electrophysiology catheters for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
The company’s proprietary technology platform circumvents the technological limitations associated with conventional single-use catheter design. The technology which is incorporated into the company’s new Khelix™ range of catheters, will help hospitals reduce their economic and environmental costs by allowing reprocessing of the catheters by their on-site central sterilisation departments.
The company is currently in the process of obtaining regulatory approval for its first release of diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, which are expected to meet 80% of the catheter needs of EP laboratories. The company is also actively pursuing strategic alliances with manufacturing and distribution partners.
